Ok, so influenza is taking a toll on my lifestyle and I’m not even infected (and I certainly hope I don’t).

The next week is going to be a class-less week, which is pretty much like spring break re-loaded for me. Only without fun and with loads of paranoid people on the streets (I’m one of those paranoid people, I admit it).

So while most young people are being very ironic about this and even comparing it to Resident Evil, I’m actually quite concerned. I don’t want to get infected and I certainly don’t want this disease to propagate through the world. Besides, the world is not fun with everyone sick and paranoid.

The disease is spreading fast, there are already cases in New York, California and I think some guy in London. So here are some tips that are useful to prevent the disease:

• Do not shake hands or kiss anyone
• Use a face mask
• Wash your hands regularly, specially after coming home from the street
• Learn how to sneeze properly
• Stay away from crowded places
• If you feel any symptoms arising go to the doctor immediately, better to be safe than sorry

So, just be prepared, buy loads of hands cleanser and stock up on the vitamin C.

As for me, well I’m under house arrest for the reminder of the week, i can’t afford to get sick because my bronchus are very delicate. Still, I get a whole week of sleeping in, isn’t that great?
