Since my birthday is on Tuesday, I decided to celebrate yesterday because I’m going to be a very busy girl on Tuesday because of the shoot and the fact that I have to register classes. Also Tuesday is a crappy day to party, IMO.

So, I sent a massive e-mail to by close circle of friends with a place and a time. The place was Antara and the time was 4-ish pm. Antara is a very posh mall in one of the posh parts of Mexico City, Polanco. I’m not very familiar with that part of the city, I just know a few places and some street names named after famous writers.

Anyways, here is what I wore:

• Black SASCH jeans
• Violet H&M shirt
• Salamandra checkered flats
• Note necklace
• Hat

Here’s a close up. I got that necklace today, it was $45 MXN and I bought it at TodoModa. Super cute n_n

I waited for Ayumi to arrive at my place and then my sister took us in LRC to Antara. The entrance is just plain fab, it looks like a runway that changes colour every few minutes! We sat down and called everyone n_n.

Ayumi is the cutest n_n.

After we rounded up everyone (Sara, Di, Pakito, Alekz, Pato, Liz) we made our way to Ben & Jerry’s where I ordered a Chocolate Fudge with Brownie or something like that. I just remember it tasted delicious! Pakito got a ice cream he deemed “Ice Cream the colour of Juls’ shirt”, Ayumi got Cherry something and Alekz got Chunky Monkey (at my suggestion). We talked and joked and finally D arrived along with his friends J and C.

We went to the local Play City (a casino) and we played bingo (like old men). It was super funny because we were the only crowded table and then we always got shh’ed by an old man who couldn’t concentrate on his numbers. The only winners were Sara and Ayumi (YAY!). I only gambled $40 MXN (“Stick to the budget we must” said Di).

After gambling away I couldn’t decide what to do, so I hung out with D, J and C and mostly talked to D. I’ve really missed him. I’m glad he was there because he never ever misses my birthday (well, during the 3 (almost 4) years we’ve known each other). It was good to hang out with him and being able to tell him how much I missed him.

Then we decided to go play chez Alekz (like always). Sara and Di stayed in Antara and D, C and J went home but not without some final pictures:

I love these portraits I took of Ayu and Alekz. I think Alekz looks extremely handsome in that picture!

At Alekz’ we played Smash Brothers, Guitar Hero, I played a little GTA IV and Ayu played some Deadspace.

   

Then my Dad picked us up, we left Ayumi with her family and went home.

I want to thank everyone that came out to hang out with me a little while! I had so much fun today!
