In which I’m still alive
Hi!
I know things have been VERY quiet around here for the last week. The reason is that I got a nasty stomach thing-y and I just couldn’t find the will or the energy to write/dress-up/ramble/whine. I’m better now and hopefully will be back to 100% in a few days.
I’m really excited about Friday. I think that you know why… but just in case that you’ve been living under a rock or just plain not care… FRIDAY IS THE DAY OF THE WORLD CUP OPENING GAME!!!
Little known fact about me: I LOVE THE WORLD CUP!
Seriously, it’s my favourite sports event in the whole world. I love it more than the Olympics and the Ice Skating World Championships. The only time I watch soccer is when Mexico plays. I’m a huge fan of “El TRI” and I love the whole watching the game vibe that it entails.
So the first game of this World cup is Mexico vs. South Africa. I’m certain that we will win! And even if we don’t I’m planning to have a blast (taking into account that I continue feeling better). Some friends and I are going to my dear D’s house all decked out in TRI attire (soccer/football jerseys) and watch the opening ceremony and game.
I’m super excited!!!
So, do you like the Wolrd Cup? Who are you favourite teams/players?
Kisses,
Julie.

Hay algo que hacen con los juegos de Madden, para saber quién va a ganar el Super Bowl y toda la cosa, y dicen que si es bastante accurate. No sé si hagan algo parecido pal mundial (no creo). Ojalá si ganen y no los mate la presión del partido de inauguración con el anfitrión

I’m not much of a soccer/football fan usually, there isn’t much of a culture for it here in Oz, but it’s difficult not to get swept up in World Cup fever – so I’ll be up at 4:30am this coming Monday to watch Australia v Germany!
