About

Hi!
I’m Juliette Maxwell (obviously a pseudonym), but you can just call me Julie. I’m a 20-something year-old, Mexican, pint-sized engineer obsessed with technology, fashion, sparkly things, travel and cars. I like to combine all my loves and show that being techy doesn’t being unfabulous as it doesn’t mean having to be immersed into WoW or videogames. Being fashionable doesn’t mean being an air head and it doesn’t mean dressing head to toe in designer stuff.
I started blogging on 2006 (or 2005 in Livejournal) when I stopped taking English classes. My main objective was to keep my English sharp and although I have one too many typos, the result of dyslexia and dysgraphia, I think that I do well for myself. I love English; I love to hear it, write it, read it and speak it. I’m also a proud Leo, an Earth Dragon and an INTJ.
I’m also a budding web designer and developer. I love to code! Here are some programming languages that I’m familiar with:
- HTML
- CSS
- PHP
- Java
- Javascript
- C
- Prolog
- .NET
Next semester, I hope to get enough knowledge to add Action Script to that list of languages. So far, my experience in building websites resides on making and tweeking WordPress themes. If you are interested, you can contact me or flick me an email at julie@juliettemaxwell.com.
I also know how to work a little bit of Flash, loads of Photoshop and Illustrator.
I try to update at least 5 times a week, but when I’m in college it really depends on my work load. I have 3 regular features here:

Sometimes, I showcase what I wear. I think that our fashion choices are a really good way to see how we change overtime and to have an archive of that is simply beautiful and so, so informative.

A collection of links that I find on the web. I like to see and share information that I think will help someone and that will show beautiful things.
It’s all about gratitude and things that make me smile and swoon with glee. Started as a spin-off of Gala Darling’s Things I Love Thursday.
Apart from those columns, I try to rant as little as possible, but sometimes it doesn’t happen.
Most of the pictures I publish are found by WeHeartIt.com, when a full link isn’t provided on that website, I link the image to the WeHeartIt.com entry that I found it from. I really don’t like publishing without credit but it happens. If you see one of your pictures drop me a comment and tell me so that I can source it back to you or take it down if you request so.
You can also find me at:

Also, you can email me at julie@juliettemaxwell.com, I answer all my non-spam email ASAP.
Thank you so much for stopping by my little nook of the internet.
Kisses,
Julie.
P.D.: If you want to buy your way into my heart, this is a good place to start.
